Man arrested in stabbing incident

MARSHFIELD – A Marshfield man is in jail, following a stabbing on Marshfield’s south side.
On Aug. 21, shortly after 10 p.m., Marshfield Police officers were called to the intersection of South Cedar Avenue and East Ninth Street.
“Upon arrival, Police Officers located the victim, a 46-year-old Marshfield man, who sustained a deep laceration to his left arm. Marshfield Fire & Rescue was requested to the scene and transported the victim to the Marshfield Medical Center Emergency Room where he was treated for his injury and released,” a Marshfield Police Department release stated.
“The suspect, a 32-year-old Marshfield man, was located standing outside his residence, and was taken into custody without incident. A knife was also located and placed into evidence. The suspect was transported to Wood County Jail.
“Charges of mayhem, first degree recklessly endangering safety, and disorderly conduct are being requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.”
