STRATFORD – Stratford School Superintendent Scott Winch will retire from his position at the end of the 2021-22 school year.
In a letter to the Stratford School Board, Winch said his last day will be June 30, 2022.
“I would like to thank all past and present board members for the opportunity to serve as superintendent for the past 17 years,” he said.
“It has been a privilege and honor to work alongside you and our entire staff providing a quality educational experience for all students in the district. Together we have accomplished a great deal and I am very proud of the excellent school district that we have for the Stratford community.
“After over 30 years in education, serving over 20 years as administrator, seven years as a teacher, and the entire time being involved in coaching, officiating or serving on a WIAA Committee it is time to move and enjoy more time with family.”
During his tenure, the district undertook a $16 million renovating and updating project on the Stratford Middle/High School and the elementary school.
