Arrest made in Vasa case

MARSHFIELD – Marshfield and Wood County investigators have made their first arrest in connection with the disappearance and death of a Marshfield man who went missing last summer.
In a March 18 Wood County Sheriff’s Department news release, Sergeant Scott Goldberg said the Marshfield Police Department and Wood County Sheriff’s Department have arrested Stephanie Trewyn, 40, for mutilating or hiding a corpse, in connection with the investigation into Zachary Vasa.
Vasa’s partial skeletal remains were discovered March 11 in the Wood County town of Rock, southwest of Marshfield. Vasa went missing June 13, 2020.
Investigators have not determined a cause of death.
