Ronald R. Scott, 81, of Babcock passed away at 12:30 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2018, at the Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Buchanan / Rembs Funeral Home, Pittsville. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 153 of Pittsville at 3:00 pm at the funeral home.

Ronald was born April 21, 1937, in Babcock to James and Agnes (Brost) Scott. He was educated in Babcock and graduated from Maryheart High School in Pittsville in 1955. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1975 as an aircraft mechanic.

Ron married Lorell Taylor on Nov. 26, 1958, in Memphis, TN.  After serving his country for 20 years and living in many places including Japan, Ron returned to Babcock and worked as an assessor for many years.  Ron loved to hunt, fish, camp, and spend time with his grandchildren.  He loved to tell stories of his time in the Navy and growing up with his 9 siblings in Babcock.  Ron and Lorell spent much of their summer months camped on the shores of different lakes.

Ron is survived by his wife, Lorell Scott of Babcock; 2 sons, Michael (Lori) Scott of Ontario, Wi, Kevin (Roxanne) Scott of Camp Douglas, Wi; two grandchildren – Tara (Nick) Heil of Waukesha, Wi, and Ryan (Christine) Scott of Eagle River, Wi; 3 step-grandchildren – Brad Dahl of Wisconsin Dells, Wi, Brandon (Jenna) Dahl of Pine Springs, Mn, and Sarah (Tim) Leeds of Sugar Hill, Ga; 3 great grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren.

He is further survived by brothers and sisters, Lyle (Marcy) Scott of Babcock, Judy McKeel of Wisconsin Rapids, Barbara Wheeler and Lynn Harshfield of Albuquerque, N.M.; and two sisters-in-law, Barbara Scott of Babcock and Rita Scott of Port Edwards; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, Vivian McKeel, Marion Michaels, Margaret Paquette, and two brothers, Tom Scott and James Scott.
