Kayla F. Ignatowski, 1996-2015
Kayla Fay Ignatowski, 18, of Arpin, passed on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, as the result of an auto accident.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 30 at Crossroads Church, Pittsville, with Rev. Peter Ruggles, Pastor of Good Shepard Lutheran Church, Marshfield, officiating. Pallbearers will be Jeff Ignatowski, Mark Schoolman, Greg Ignatowski, Lenny Ostrowski, Junior Ignatowski, Gary DeWilde, and Bud.
The visitation will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2015 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Monday from 10:00 am until service time at Crossroads Church.
Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Kayla was born on September 6, 1996 in Marshfield, the daughter of Christopher and Trina (Schoolman) Ignatowski. She attended Pittsville Elementary School and was in the senior class at Pittsville High School at the present time. She was employed at McDonald’s and her parents’ business, Iggy’s Auction House. She also was employed at “As You Wish,” playing the character of Elsa for parties and also volunteered playing the role for other functions.
She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and had been a member of Pleasant Corners 4-H. She also was involved in Teen Leadership, Forensics, and Show Choir. Last year she was a finalist in the National American Miss in Wisconsin Dells and planned to compete again this year. Kayla enjoyed inviting friends over for camp fires during the summer.
Kayla is survived by her parents, Chris and Trina Ignatowski, her sister, Isis Ignatowski, and a foster sister, Megan. She is also survived by her grandmothers, Susan Schoolman and Mary Ignatowski, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her grandfathers, Jerry Ignatowski and Albert Schoolman, and an uncle, Eugene Ignatowski.
Kayla’s life will live on as she was a tissue and organ donor for the benefit of others.
The family will designate a memorial in Kayla’s name at a later date.
