Christina H.”Tina” Jirschele, 96 of Marshfield died peacefully on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Golden Living Three Oaks Living Center in Marshfield.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am Friday, January 16, 2015 at St. John’s Catholic Church with Fr. Nathanie l Kuhn  officiating.  Cindy Penker along with St. John’s Funeral Choir will provide the music.

Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield.

Visitations will be from 4-8pm Thursday at Rembs Funeral Home and again on Friday from 9:30am until service time.  There will be a PCCW Rosary service at 4pm followed by a Knights of Columbus/Parish Rosary service at 6:30pm Thursday both at the funeral home.

Tina was born on November 27, 1918 in Marshfield to Joseph and Anna (Huene) Burr.  She and Denis “Bud” Jirschele were united in marriage on February 11, 1941 At St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Hewitt.  Bud died on December 30, 2006.

She had been employed at the Marshfield News Herald for 27 years. Tina was a volunteer at St. Joseph’s Hospital for many years, member of St. John’s Catholic Church and its Parish Council of Catholic Women.

She is survived by her children Tim (Mary) Jirschele of Venice FL, Terry (Lorie) Jirschele of Pierre, SD, James (Penny) Jirschele of Rothschild and Mary Kay (Carl) Peak of San Jose, CA; 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.  She is further survived by a brother Joseph (Geri) Burr of Marshfield.

Besides her parents and husband Bud, she was preceded in death by son Denis, 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
