Edward L. Yrios, 67, Marshfield, died on Friday, January 23, 2015 in the Emergency Room of Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Samuel Martin officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends from 9:00 am on Wednesday until service time at St. John’s Catholic Church. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Edward was born on August 24, 1947 in Wisconsin Rapids to Waino “Bill” and Barbara (Labud) Yrios and was a 1965 graduate of Assumption High School, Wisconsin Rapids. He married Joan B. Varsho on September 7, 1974 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church and they were married for 40 years.

Ed was employed at Norwood Health Care Center, Marshfield, for 33 years until his retirement in 2000 as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society. He loved cats and also enjoyed reading and bird watching.

He is survived by his wife, Joan and their daughter, Chris (Chris Miloch) Yrios of Stevens Point. He is also survived by a brother, John Yrios of Cross Plains.

He was predeceased by his parents, sisters, Barbara Dyer and Mary Jo Yrios and a brother, Robert Yrios.
