Clara J. Bloczynski

Clara J. Bloczynski, 90, Marshfield, died on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at House of the Dove, Marshfield.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Marshfield, with Rev. David Faulkner officiating. Burial will take place in Hillside Cemetery. The visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday at Rembs Funeral Home and from 10:00 am until service time on Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Clara was born on March 17, 1927 in the Town of Eau Pleine, Marathon County, to Leo and Caroline (Gatzke) Peter. She finished her education in the Purdy School where she eventually lived in her late years when it became the Astor Retirement Community.

She was united in marriage to George L. Bloczynski on October 30, 1948 at Sacred Heart Church rectory, Marshfield.  He died on July 17, 2013.

In her early years Clara worked at Weinbrenner Shoes before becoming a fulltime wife and mother.

She is survived by her daughter, Christine (James) Merrill of Randolph, her grandsons, James Jr. and Sean Merrill, a brother-in-law, Gordon Moore and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers, Arthur, Frederick, Henry and Ernest Peter, and sisters, Lily Ferg, Ella Bucholtz and Joanna Wojtkiewicz.

Memorials may be designated in Clara’s name to Immanuel Lutheran School or to House of the Dove.
