Stratford boys basketball loses at Wausau Newman

Tigers slip to 7-7 this season

WAUSAU — Wausau Newman Catholic jumped out to a double-digit lead by halftime and held on to beat Stratford 58-47 in a Marawood Conference South Division boys basketball game Thursday night at Newman Catholic High School.
Newman led 31-18 at halftime on its way to the home win.
Brenden Fecker had 14 points to lead Stratford (7-7, 3-4 Marawood South).
Jake Gajewski and Dane Fronek each had 16 points for the Cardinals (11-4, 5-2 Marawood South).
Stratford’s next game is Tuesday at home against Auburndale.
