Point-Rapids-Marshfield girls hockey loses to Rock County

PRM plays Northern Edge on Monday

STEVENS POINT – The Rock County Fury scored three unanswered goals in the third period to put away Point-Rapids-Marshfield 6-4 in a nonconference girls hockey game Friday night at KB Willett Arena.

Point-Rapids-Marshfield’s Bryar Brooks scored in the second period to tie the game at 3-3 before Rock County (9-9) powered to the lead.

Anee Runde scored 4:25 into the third period, and Maggy Henschler added two goals within a 82-second stretch to give the Fury a 6-3 advantage.

PRM’s Emily Exner scored with 2:07 remaining to provide the final goal of the game.

Chloe Kreuser had 15 saves and Madi Hall three for PRM (5-9-2).

Point-Rapids-Marshfield will be back in action Monday against Northern Edge at Wisconsin Rapids.
