FOND DU LAC – The Marshfield boys soccer team went 1-1 on the second day of the Fondy Challenge Cup on Saturday at the Fond du Lac Soccer Complex.

The Tigers finished the two-day tournament 2-1 and are now 5-4-1 this season.

Alex Sainterme scored a goal on an assist from Jake Limmex with 2:24 remaining in the game to lift the Tigers to a 1-0 win over Fond du Lac in Saturday’s opener.

Marshfield lost to Appleton Xavier 1-0 in the second game of the day, with the only goal coming by the Hawks in the 53rd minute by Noah Kippenham.

Marshfield hosts D.C. Everest in a Wisconsin Valley Conference game at 5 p.m. Monday at Griese Park. The game is a make-up from last Thursday.
