Gebelein lifts Stratford boys basketball past Wisconsin Valley Lutheran

STRATFORD — Dawson Gebelein had 18 points and seven rebounds to lift the Stratford boys basketball team to a 51-43 nonconference victory over Wisconsin Valley Lutheran on Friday night at Stratford High School.
Gebelein was 8 of 14 from the field and 2 of 3 at the free throw line for the Tigers (5-1).
Jake Reif added 13 points and four assists, and Michael Bargender had eight points and eight rebounds for Stratford.
The Tigers trailed 24-20 at halftime before rallying to take the lead in the third quarter.
Stratford’s next game is Tuesday at Wisconsin Rapids Assumption.
