The vet’s office: Give the gift of health

The new Christmas sweater is soon packed away for next year, that chew bone only lasted a week until reduced to swallow size, and the kitten has quickly become bored with the new feathered toy.
Such pet gifts are short-lived, but the gift of health will keep giving all year. Consider trading the short term for the long term this holiday season.
Your veterinarian may have made recommendations at your pet’s last health check visit. It might have been for needed dental attention for your pet, a vaccination, or heartworm or flea and tick protection. Ask your vet to review your pet’s medical record to see if health upgrades can be made.
Most veterinary practices have gift cards or certificates so that these services can be gifted or prepaid to friends or family. Maybe this is the time to give your beloved pet the gift of health.
