LeRoy W. Hollingsworth, 83, Marshfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 23, 2019 House of the Dove Hospice.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield, on Thursday, September 5th at 11:00 am. The Reverend Douglas C. Robertson officiating.

LeRoy was born May 17, 1936 in the Waukegan, IL to Willard & Caroline (Velasco) Hollingsworth. He was a 1954 graduate of Waukegan Township High School. LeRoy was united in marriage to Rita Mayala May 3 1958 in Waukegan.

A hard worker his whole life; LeRoy joined the United States Army shortly after graduating High School. After his Honorable discharge in 1962 he kept himself busy working as a self-employed painter and renovating his properties in his spare time. He was also known to enjoy golfing, and was a regular at the YMCA in the mornings.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years: Rita; his children: Jennifer Marutiak of Marshfield, James Hollingsworth of Waukegan, Leslie (Bruce) Habjan of Lake Bluff, IL, and Mitchell Hollingsworth of Key West, FL. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren: Peter Marutiak, and Jeffrey & Alex Habjan. LeRoy is further missed by scores of nieces and nephews, and by his buddies at the YMCA.

He is predeceased by his parents and his sisters: Patricia Ogilvie and Delores Pucin.
