First-place Loyal handles Spencer girls basketball

Endreas leads Rockets with 17 points

LOYAL — Loyal dominated the first half and did more than enough the rest of the way to beat Spencer 63-36 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division girls basketball game Tuesday night at Loyal High School.

Loyal remains one-half game ahead of Neillsville for first place in the Cloverbelt East as it improves to 12-1 in the conference at 15-3 overall.

Loyal led 35-17 at halftime and held Spencer to 19 points in the second half to finish off the win.

Morgan Reinwand had 19 points, and Karsyn Rueth had 17 points and nine rebounds for the Greyhounds.

Liz Endreas topped Spencer (7-11, 5-8 Cloverbelt East) with 17 points. No other Rocket had more than six points.

Spencer hosts Owen-Withee on Thursday.
