Stratford girls basketball thumps Pittsville

Nine Tigers score in road win

PITTSVILLE — Nine different Stratford players scored as the Tigers dominated Pittsville 55-18 in a Marawood Conference South Division girls basketball game Tuesday night at Pittsville High School.

Sammy Griesbach had 11 points, Taya Nett added 10, and Andie Zuelke scored nine for Stratford, which is now 13-4 overall and 6-3 in the Marawood Conference South Division. Pittsville falls to 1-16 and 0-10 in the conference.

Stratford held Pittsville to just two made baskets in the first half and led 27-6 at the break.

The Tigers host first-place Marathon on Friday at 7:15 p.m.
