Stratford wrestlers rout Athens

STRATFORD — Stratford won all but one match in a 69-6 rout over Athens in a Marawood Conference wrestling dual meet on Thursday night at Stratford High School.

The Tigers won four matches by forfeit and five others by pin.

Winning by pin for Stratford were Anthony Gliniecki (126 pounds), Mason Kauffman (1320), Jesse Dickman (160), Kyle Martin (182), and Tyson Kauffman (285).

Sam Wenzel (138), David Marquardt (145), and Kam Bornbach (195) won by decision for the Tigers.

Stratford will compete at the Bi-State Classic in La Crosse on Dec. 29-30.

113: Jeremy Schoenherr (ST) won by forfeit.
120: A.J. Schoenfuss (ST) won by forfeit.
126: Anthony Gliniecki (ST) pinned Klay Ellenbecker in 1:46.
132: Mason Kauffman (ST) pinned Brett Albrecht in 2:17.
138: Sam Wenzel (ST) def. Kevin Albrecht 8-0.
145: David Marquardt (ST) def. Nate Morse 9-6.
152: Austin Engel (AT) pinned Ron Drymon in 3:15.
160: Jesse Dickman (ST) pinned Devin Diethelm in 3:56.
170: Taylor Krall (ST) def. Marshall Westfall 8-6.
182: Kyle Martin (ST) pinned Jordan Zinkowich in 1:22.
195: Kam Bornbach (ST) def. Cole Handschke 11-0.
220: Hunter Kauffman (ST) won by forfeit.
285: Tyson Kauffman (ST) pinned Tyson Sommer in 2:28.
