Spencer baseball edges Neillsville in season opener
Hildebrandt has two RBIs for Rockets

NEILLSVILLE — The Spencer baseball team opened its season with a narrow 2-1 win over Neillsville on Friday at Neillsville High School.
Hunter Luepke allowed one run in five innings to earn the win, and Caden Schillinger picked up the save with two scoreless innings on the mound.
Carson Hildebrandt had both RBIs for the Rockets, who were also opening their Cloverbelt Conference East Division schedule.
Neillsville is now 1-3 overall and 0-1 in the Cloverbelt East.
Spencer hosts Granton for a conference game Tuesday.
