Marshfield boys golf seventh after opening day of Wisconsin Dells Invitational
Hanson tops Tigers with an 81

WISCONSIN DELLS — The Marshfield boys golf team opened its season with competition at the 2017 Wisconsin Dells Boys Golf Invitational.
The two-day event kicked off Friday morning, and the Tigers find themselves in seventh place in the Division 1 team standings after 18 holes at Trappers Turn Golf Club.
Zach Hanson shot an 81 and is in a tie for 16th place in the Division 1 field after the first day. Joe Kirschnik had an 83, Derek Michalski shot an 85, Brendan Schneider had an 86, and Grant Michaelis fired an 89 for Marshfield.
Waunakee’s Joe Guerrera leads the tournament after shooting a one-under par 71, and Wausau East sits on top of the team standings.
Play continues Saturday.
