Marauders play at UW-Marathon County on Saturday

MARSHFIELD — The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County men’s basketball team is moving on in the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference playoffs after a narrow 81-78 victory over UW-Rock County on Wednesday night at home.

The Marauders (8-11) will play at UW-Marathon County (12-9) in Wausau on Saturday in a WCC regional final. The winner qualifies for the WCC State Tournament at Wisconsin Dells on Feb. 25-26.

Devin Klein scored 24 points to lead five Marauders in double figures. Joe Estrict added 15 points, Jared Seeman had 13, Tyler Prust scored 12, and Covon Rudolph chipped in with 11 for UW-Marshfield.
