FOND DU LAC — The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County women’s basketball team split a pair of games over the weekend at the UW-Fond du Lac Tournament.

The Marauders lost their opener to Silver Lake College 75-70 on Friday and then came back to beat UW-Fond du Lac 56-44 on Saturday in the third-place game.

Brooke Schultze had 22 points and 11 rebounds, and Paige Newman added 15 points and seven rebounds for the Marauders in the loss to Silver Lake.

Taylor Lynn led UW-Marshfield with 19 points and eight rebounds in the victory over Fond du Lac.

The Marauders return to action Wednesday, Nov. 12 with their home opener against UW-Marathon County.
