Spencer/Columbus uses five pins, two forfeits to beat Abbotsford/Colby

Shaw, Zschernitz earn pins in first half-minute

ABBOTSFORD — Spencer/Columbus won five matches by pin, four coming in the first period, to push past Abbotsford/Colby 49-16 in a Cloverbelt Conference wrestling dual meet Thursday night at Abbotsford High School.

The Rockets also won a pair matches by forfeit and had a major decision victory from Dominick Wichlacz at 120 pounds in the victory.

Tanner Kleinschmidt (182), Hunter Luepke (220), Logan Zschernitz (285), Taylor Bach (132) and Bryce Shaw (138) all won by pin for Spencer/Columbus. Shaw’s victory came in just 15 seconds, and Zschernitz needed just 27 seconds to pin his opponent.

Spencer/Columbus (2-1 Cloverbelt Conference) returns to action Tuesday at Cadott for another Cloverbelt dual.

285: Logan Zschneritz (SC) pinned Daniel Menjivar in 0:27.
106: Ashton Ackman (SC) won by forfeit.
113: Leo Rodriguez (SC) won by forfeit.
120: Dominick Wichlacz (SC) won major decision over Chance Clement 11-2.
126: Logan Ruesch (AC) won major decision over Jake Dick 13-3.
132: Taylor Bach (SC) pinned Jose Rzintzun in 2:26.
138: Bryce Shaw (SC) pinned Xavier Digman in 0:15.
