TOMAHAWK — Ryan Krueger and Isaac Wellens both scored in the final five minutes to lift the Marshfield boys hockey team to a 6-4 victory over Tomahawk in a nonconference matchup Thursday night at Sara Park Ice Arena.

Six of the game’s 10 goals came in the third period of the wild affair.

Tomahawk scored twice in 30 seconds to regain the lead before Klaus Friedli scored off an assist from Jon Wittman and tied it for the Tigers with 9:08 to go.

Krueger scored five minutes later, and Wellens netted a goal with 1:24 to go to push the Tigers to the win as they ended a four-game losing streak.

Wittman scored in the first period, and Krueger added a goal in the second for Marshfield as the game was tied 2-2 heading into the third.

Haydon Roy-Peterson had 25 saves in goal for Marshfield (4-11-1).

Patrick Setala scored twice for Tomahawk (3-10-1).

Marshfield hosts Rhinelander in another nonconference game at 7 p.m. Friday at the Marshfield Youth Ice Arena.
