Spencer wrestling seventh at St. Croix Falls Invitational

ST. CROIX FALLS – Daniel Wilke and Hunter Luepke each took second in their respective weight classes and the Spencer wrestling team finished in seventh place at the St. Croix Falls Invitational on Saturday at St. Croix Falls High School.

Wilke (29-6) was pinned in the 138-pound championship match to Tim Bialka of Princeton in 2:48 to take second place.

Luepke (30-4) dropped the 195-pound title match to Wisconsin Rapids’ Cody Abel 11-4.

Nathan Neumann finished third at 145, Zach Schneider was fifth at 170, Caden Schillinger took seventh at 120, and Dominick Wichlacz (106), Bryce Shaw (113) and Tyler Voda (182) each finished eighth for the Rockets.

Wisconsin Rapids won the team title, with Hudson second.

Spencer hosts Abbotsford/Colby on Thursday in a Cloverbelt Conference dual.
