MARSHFIELD – “Our mission is to reveal the love of Jesus by providing pregnancy and parenting support, empowering women and men to make healthy and educated decisions for their future,” explained First Choice Pregnancy Resource Center Director Jamie Titus.
“We are a faith-based non-profit organization that serves anyone in an unexpected or unplanned pregnancy for free. This includes all free and confidential services: pregnancy tests, limited ultrasounds, pregnancy and parenting education, options counseling, abortion and miscarriage grief counseling, material goods through our Baby Boutique.”
The center recently opened at 1722 N. Galvin Ave., Marshfield — the former site of Benjamin Bargains & Beyond.
The center had two central Wisconsin locations before coming to Marshfield last month.
“We already serve in Wisconsin Rapids and Stevens Point, and had a desire to bring hope and education to those in the Marshfield community. Walking through pregnancy can bring a lot of mixed emotions, whether it’s a first time or your fifth, and we all need support. We strive to take the fear and loneliness out of the equation,” Titus added.
Titus said that the best aspect of developing centers in the area is “watching the community come together to support the men and women in Marshfield.
This ministry is only possible because of the community uniting to serve those who find themselves without support, or who have no idea what the next steps are.”
The center is supported through community fundraisers and donations.
