MARSHFIELD – Kick off football season this year with a special author talk and “Viewing Party” hosted by the UW–Stevens Point and McMillan Memorial Library.
Kris Leonhardt, author and senior editor at Multi Media Channels, will share insights from her new book Lambeau: The Boy Behind Green Bay Football, a look at the life and legacy of Curly Lambeau.
As co-founder of the Green Bay Packers, Lambeau’s story is deeply intertwined with Wisconsin history.
He not only helped establish the team but also served as captain, star player and eventual head coach, leaving behind a lasting impact on the world of football.
The program will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 16, from 1–2:30 p.m.
Attendees can connect with fellow football fans, and take part in this engaging presentation.
Viewing party locations are UW–Stevens Point: Schmeeckle Reserve Visitor Center Meeting Room, UW–Stevens Point Marshfield: Jean’s Vanguard Room, UW–Stevens Point Wausau: Terrace Room and McMillan Memorial Library, Wisconsin Rapids.
