Pittsville rides three-run first to knock off Auburndale baseball
Apaches held to four hits in home loss

AUBURNDALE — Pittsville scored three runs in the top of the first inning and held on from there, beating Auburndale 4-1 in a Marawood Conference South Division baseball game Friday at Auburndale High School.
The Apaches (1-3, 1-2 Marawood South) had just four hits. Logan Willfahrt drove in Cason Schmutzer for Auburndale’s lone run.
Caleb Weinfurter struck out four and allowed 10 hits in a complete-game effort for the Apaches.
Auburndale plays at Marathon on Tuesday.
