MMS girls’ tennis off to great start

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Middle School girls’ tennis team traveled to Wisconsin Rapids Sept. 8 to compete in their second triangular of the season, and improved their team record to 4-1 in conference play.

The Tigers defeated Wisconsin Rapids (7-3) and Rhinelander (7-4). 

All 17 players on the Marshfield Middle School tennis team have now contributed to the team scores, playing both in a singles match and doubles match.

Team members include Jasmine Buth, Nileya Carrera, Rhyan Costa, Shannon Davis, Greta Frye, Lilly Griesbach, Vanessa Holtey, Alyana Kober, Maddie Kundinger, Sylvia Lee, Trinity Lenzo, Audrey Luedtke, Sophia Rosandich, Talia Soskos, Clara Tompkins, Edyn Vechinski, and Katie Winder.

The next Middle School tennis match will be in Rhinelander for another triangular against James Willliams Middle School and St. Peter Middle School on Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 4:15 p.m.
