Town of Lincoln fire destroys storage shed and contents

TOWN OF LINCOLN – An intense fire on Sept. 20 destroyed a storage shed and its contents just west of Marshfield.

Town of Lincoln Fire Chief Andy Gingerich said the call came in around noon, and departments from the towns of Cameron, Richfield, Hewitt, and Chili were also called, along with Marshfield ambulance and the Central Rapid Intervention Team and Rehab Group, to 10316 County Highway Y.

Gingerich said it was a very hot fire, and crews didn’t stand much of a chance.

Gingerich is thankful for all the help and support firefighters received at the scene.

Owners, Clint and Kathryn McKee, were not home at the time.

The cause of the fire is unknown and still under investigation.
