MARSHFIELD – Marshfield High School graduate Andie Varsho has taken a new position with the Evansville School District as Director for Athletics and Activities.

Varsho is leaving her position as head softball coach at UW-Platteville, a position she has held since 2016.

“I feel like I can impact an athletic department on a larger scale,” Varsho said. “Softball has always been my life and it’s time for me to make the next step for me personally and professionally to positively affect more coaches, sports, students, and a community.

“This job will help me grow personally and professionally. I have my masters in administrative leadership from UW-Milwaukee. I am capable of mentoring coaches, bringing a fresh perspective and my love of sports into the Evansville School District. I am very excited and ready to grow into my new Director role.”

Varsho will officially start in her new role on July 1.

Andie and her Pioneer coaching staff were recognized as the WIAC “Coaching Staff of the Year” in 2018.
