Dons score four goals in first nine minutes

GRESHAM — Marshfield Columbus Catholic’s offensive power was on display Monday as the Dons cruised past Gresham/Bowler 6-1 in a Central Wisconsin Conference soccer game.
The Dons scored four times in the first nine minutes and outshot Gresham/Bowler 25-12 in the victory.
Columbus Catholic is now 11-3-1 overall and 8-1 in the CWC following its fourth-straight win. Gresham/Bowler drops to 4-6-1 and 3-5 in conference play.
Nadim Torbey had a pair of goals in the first 4:18, Evan Dieringer added another goal at the 6:10 mark, and Calvin Brown scored 8:47 into the game to give the Dons a quick 4-0 lead. Brown assisted on four of Columbus’ six goals.
Kellen Delaney and Noah Hansen each added goals in the second half for Columbus Catholic.
Columbus Catholic hosts Wisconsin Valley Lutheran at Griese Park on Thursday.
