GREENWOOD — The Spencer volleyball team started a new winning streak Thursday with a 3-2 win over Greenwood in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division match at Greenwood High School.

The Rockets, who lost a conference match for the first time in more than six years on Tuesday to Marshfield Columbus Catholic, is now 3-1 in Cloverbelt East play after the 25-23, 22-25, 25-16, 21-25, 15-12 victory.

“We kept hurting ourselves with unforced errors, but we battled for the win,” Spencer coach Buff Heller said. “Hopefully we build off the tough victory.”

Lexi Baehr had 22 kills and 33 digs, Chloe Drews added nine kills, Sadie Mercier had 38 assists and three service aces, and Shelbi Hoefs added 22 digs for Spencer.
