Marshfield freshman football team edges Wausau West
Tigers improve to 3-1

WAUSAU — The Marshfield freshman football team held off Wausau West for a 30-24 win on Thursday.
The Tigers are now 3-1 this season and host Stevens Point P.J. Jacobs at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 28 for their next game.
Marshfield quarterback Will Nikolai had a 4-yard touchdown run, threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to Kyroden Swanson, and had an interception on defense.
Logan Durham and Matthew Donavan each had 9-yard touchdown runs, and kicker Seth Peterson had three extra-point kicks and made a 31-yard field goal as well for the Tigers.
Michael Wright, Brenden Braund, Jaiger Halvorson, and Seth Kleinschmidt were Marshfield’s top tacklers on defense.
