ESCANABA, Michigan — The Marshfield softball team finished 2-1 at the Escanaba Tournament on Friday and Saturday.

On Friday, the Tigers, playing without four starters due to school obligations, lost to Escanaba 14-1.

Marshfield (12-5) rebounded Saturday with a full lineup and beat Marquette (Michigan) 3-2 in 10 innings and Rapid River (Michigan) 17-1.

Megan Donahue went the entire 10 innings against Marquette, striking out 18 and allowing just two hits, to earn the win for the Tigers, who won in an international tiebreaker, scoring a run in the bottom of the 10th. Morgan Nordbeck had two hits for the Tigers.

Madelyn Mews had three hits and two RBIs, and Melissa Roberts, Donahue, Emily Draeger, and Kaitlyn Konrardy each had two hits in the win over Rapid River.

Marshfield hosts Antigo in a nonconference game Monday and returns to Wisconsin Valley Conference action Tuesday at Wausau East.
