UW-Fond du Lac sweeps UW-Marshfield/Wood County basketball teams

FOND DU LAC – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County women’s basketball team shot 24 percent and turned the ball over 22 times in a 46-34 loss to UW-Fond du Lac on Friday night.

The Marauders (8-4 overall and Wisconsin Collegiate Conference) were just 14 of 58 from the field, made just 6 of 12 free throws, and missed all 10 3-point attempts in the loss.

Carrie Stroetz had 10 points and nine rebounds to lead Marshfield.

The UW-Marshfield/Wood County men’s team lost 86-82 to Fond du Lac. The Marauders led by 11 at halftime but couldn’t hang on and fall to 3-8 this season. Statistics were not provided.

The Marauders women are at UW-Waukesha on Monday, and both the women’s and men’s teams travel to UW-Richland on Wednesday.
