WISCONSIN RAPIDS — The Marshfield gymnastics team set a season-high for points and finished fifth overall at the Wisconsin Rapids Gymnastics Invitational on Saturday at Lincoln High School.

Emma Haugen had a personal best all-around score of 32.6 to take ninth, and Megan Smith was 11th (31.8) in the all-around totals for Marshfield.

Mukwonago/East Troy/Kettle Moraine won the team title with a score of 137. Marshfield was fifth among the eight teams with 126.9 points.

Haugen had the best individual finish for the Tigers, taking sixth in the vault (8.95). Smith was seventh in the uneven bars with a personal best score of 8.325, and Isabelle Jensen and Brooke McGrath tied for eighth in the vault with scores of 8.8 for Marshfield.

“Although we were fifth overall as a team, we really improved our floor with our third-best team score on floor and second-best team score on vault,” Marshfield coach Allie Dryer said. “This was a tough meet with lots of competition.”

Marshfield will compete at Antigo in a Great Northern Conference dual on Tuesday.
