WESTON — Marshfield scored four runs in the top of the sixth inning and rode the arm of senior pitcher Jack Donahue to a 4-0 win over D.C. Everest in a Wisconsin Valley Conference baseball game Thursday at D.C. Everest High School.
Trevor Schwecke, Caleb Alexander, and Jeremy Brost each had RBI singles in the rally to bust open a scoreless game and send Marshfield to its eighth win in a row.
Donahue allowed just two hits and one walk while striking out five in the complete-game shutout.
Marshfield (15-7, 6-4 Wisconsin Valley Conference) plays at Wausau East next Tuesday.
