Marshfield boys golf third at D.C. Everest

WAUSAU — Zach Shortess shot an 83 to finish fifth overall and help the Marshfield boys golf team to a third-place finish at the D.C. Everest Pentangular on Friday at Greenwood Hills Country Club.

Wausau East’s Matt Tuman was meet medalist with a 72 to lift the Lumberjacks to the team title with a score of 329, 20 shots better than Wausau West. Marshfield was third with a 356.

Jordan Schlinsog was ninth with an 88, and Brandon Nikolai had an 89 to finish 10th for the Tigers.

Marshfield’s next meet is Monday at the Wisconsin Rapids Quad at the Ridges Golf Course.
