Wausau West blanks Marshfield boys hockey

WAUSAU – Marshfield was outshot 60-13 by Wausau West and fell 7-0 in its Wisconsin Valley Conference boys hockey opener Thursday at Marathon Park.
Wausau West scored four times in the first period to set the tone.
Cale Bowman and Alex Osness each scored twice, Brandon Thorson and Nick Techel each had a goal and an assist, and Hunter Ricklfels had a goal and two assists for the Warriors (3-0, 1-0 Wisconsin Valley Conference).
Marshfield falls to 1-3 and 0-1 in the conference.
Marshfield’s next game is next Thursday at Stevens Point.
