MCHS YMCA offers milk to encourage healthy consumption
For the Hub City Times
MARSHFIELD – In an effort to encourage milk consumption by area children, the Marshfield Clinic Health Systems (MCHS) YMCA will participate in the Special Milk Program. Through the program, the YMCA provides milk to children attending programs at the facility.
The Special Milk Program receives funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and is administered by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. The program provides financial assistance to any public or non-profit tax exempt agency providing non-residential child care, early education care, and/or school-age child care, as well as non-profit camps for children and homeless feeding sites.
The program will be available at the following locations: MCHS Wellness Center, Pied Piper at the First Presbyterian Church, Nasonville Elementary School, Grant Elementary School, Lincoln Elementary School, Washington Elementary School, Stratford Elementary at Zion Lutheran Church, and the YMCA Healthy Kids Camp.
