Stratford girls basketball tips Assumption to improve to 7-0
Tigers remain perfect at 3-0 in Marawood South

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — The Stratford girls basketball team keeps on rolling.
Andie Zuelke scored 12 of her 18 points in second half as Stratford held off Wisconsin Rapids Assumption 40-38 in a Marawood Conference South Division game Thursday night at Assumption High School.
Stratford led 23-20 at halftime, and the game remained tight throughout, the Tigers prevailing in the end to remain undefeated at 7-0 overall and 3-0 in the Marawood South. Assumption is now 3-4 and 1-3 in the conference.
Zuelke made five of the Tigers’ six baskets in the second half.
Gracie Wendels led Assumption with 14 points.
Stratford returns to action next Thursday at Marathon.
