Columbus Catholic soccer wins matchup of Mid-State leaders at McDonell/Regis
Brown, Malovrh score late to keep Dons undefeated

CHIPPEWA FALLS — The Marshfield Columbus Catholic soccer team scored twice in the second half to overcome a one-goal deficit and beat Chippewa Falls McDonell/Eau Claire Regis 2-1 in a Mid-State Soccer Conference match Monday at Casper Park.
McDonell/Regis took a 1-0 lead in the second half before Calvin Brown and Nick Malovrh scored for the Dons. Both goals were unassisted.
The Dons are now 8-0 overall and 4-0 in the MSSC. McDonell/Regis, the defending conference champion, falls to 2-3 and 2-1 in the conference.
Columbus held a slim 17-14 lead in shots.
Columbus Catholic hosts Mauston for a nonconference game at 5 p.m. Thursday at Griese Park.
