MARSHFIELD – Memorial services for one of two teens killed in an Oct. 9 traffic crash in Wood County will be held next week.

A memorial service for Conner K. Ostricki, 16, of Stratford, will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at The Mill Church, Stratford, where a gathering for family and friends will be held from 9 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Town of Eau Pleine, Marathon County. Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, is assisting the family.

Connor died Monday, Oct. 9, in the Town of Wood, Wood County, following an auto accident.

He was born on Nov. 14, 2006, in Marshfield, to Kurt and Courtney (Crawford) Ostricki.

Conner enjoyed dirt biking and snowmobiling. He was known as a goofball with a big sense of humor. He could also be considered tough, but on the inside was really a marshmallow as he was very kind, giving and tenderhearted. He and his stepbrother, Logan, were best friends.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Courtney (Roger Bisig) Crawford of Babcock, his father and stepmother, Kurt (LeAnn) Ostricki of Stratford, siblings, Blake Ostricki, Kailey Wozniak, Ryder Wozniak, Karli Bisig, Logan Wright, Seth Ostricki, Madaline Ostricki and Eva Ostricki. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Dawn Coates, maternal stepgrandparents, Roger and Balinda Bisig, paternal grandmother, Julie Ostricki, paternal stepgrandfather, Gary Schwarz, paternal stepgrandmother, Julie (Barry) Huebner, and maternal step great grandmother, Patsy White. He is further survived by aunts and uncles, Keith Ostricki, Kevin (Shannon) Ostricki, Mary (Cody) Shanks, Dustin Crawford, Shanna Bisig and Andrea Bisig and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Todd Crawford and paternal grandfather, LeRoy Ostricki.
