Marshfield Historic Preservation Commission seeks nominations
For the Hub City Times
MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Historic Preservation Commission is seeking candidates for its Stewardship Awards Program. The idea is to promote public awareness of preservation and restoration efforts in the city. Property owners who have shown exemplary stewardship in historic preservation through renovation and upkeep of their property will receive recognition.
Any property 50 years or older, or any individual or business that is involved in historic education and promotion in the community is eligible.
Nomination forms are available at the city’s website, ci.marshfeild.wi.us or at city hall. Nominations are due by March 28.
Awards will be announced and presented annually or bi-annually in May in conjunction with Historic Preservation Month or a common council meeting.
