MARSHFIELD – Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Marshfield announced a $75K grant from Kohl’s A Community with Heart program. This grant will support RMHC of Marshfield’s mission to keep families close to their hospitalized child.
“We are honored to have been nominated by Kohl’s employees to receive this generous gift,” said Iilee Pederson, executive director of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Marshfield. “When a child is sick the entire family needs comfort and support; no family should have to navigate their child’s medical crisis alone.”
Pederson added that COVID-19 has created new challenges for RMHC.
“This gift will have a huge impact on our ability to continue to house families, free of charge, while their child is hospitalized at Marshfield Children’s Hospital,” Pederson said.
The Kohl’s grant to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Marshfield was made through Kohl’s A Community with Heart program, which last year distributing $8 million in grants to selected nonprofit organizations across the country. Kohl’s store teams and leaders across the country identified and nominated nonprofit recipients from 49 states near and dear to their hearts.
