Stratford basketball takes on Prentice in Marawood North vs South battle

Stratford girls lose to Prentice

The Stratford High School girls basketball team lost to Prentice, 43-35, on Dec. 6 at home.

The game was tied 14-14 at halftime, but Prentice used a 29-21 advantage in the second half to pull out the win.

Breanna Ackley finished with 11 points, nine rebounds and four assists to lead Stratford, while McKenna Leonhardt added seven points.

Stratford boys basketball hammers Prentice

The Stratford High School boys basketball team jumped out to a 30-point lead in the first half to take control early in a win at home over Prentice on Dec. 6.

The Tigers went into halftime with a 48-15 lead, and cruised the rest of the way to a 78-32 victory.

Ben Barten finished with 20 points and 15 rebounds, Chandler Schmidt scored 17 points, and Teddy Redman totaled 15 points, five rebounds and four steals.
