We Can Fight Cancer to benefit Gorst family, cancer organizations

MARSHFIELD – A local benefit will raise funds for the Morgan Gorst family and organizations providing support for those dealing with cancer.

WDLB/WOSQ/WLJY is presenting “We Can Fight Cancer” – a concert event with all proceeds benefiting Teen Cancer America, American Cancer Society, Hope Lodge, and the Morgan Gorst family. Morgan, a seventh grade student at Spencer Middle School was diagnosed with an aggressive type of brain cancer.

The benefit will be held on Nov. 17, 5-11 p.m., at the Chestnut Center for the Arts, Marshfield, with local and national musicians donating their time to perform on two different floors of the facility. The evening will offer the music of the Pointless Brothers featuring Andi Petersen, Midwest Soul Exchange, Bourbon House, Woodie Larsen and the return of Westin resident Kipp Wilde from Nashville, and an evening of contemporary jazz by the John Greiner Quartet and special guest Woodie Larsen, lead guitarist from Nashville Pipeline.
