MARSHFIELD — The Friends of the Marshfield Public Library (FOMPL) recently completed “Twice Sold Tales” the library’s annual used book sale.

Over 50 Volunteers assisted with setup, the five day sale, and the take down after the sale.  FOMPL expressed particular thanks to the teachers and students of the Alternative High School who donated time and muscle to do most of the heavy lifting.

This year’s sale raised approximately $4,500.

“We estimate that the community purchased over 15,000 books during the course of the sale,” said book sale chairperson Gwen Steensen.

The funds raised by the book sale will be donated to the Marshfield Public Library and Community Center Capital Campaign.

FOMPL is now making plans for a spring book sale in late April, 2015.
