SPENCER – Before summer construction projects begin, learn about the importance of work zone safety during a special presentation at the Marathon County Public Library’s Spencer Branch, 105 S. Park St., Spencer, on April 10 from 9-10 a.m.

Every spring and summer, Wisconsin’s roads and highways fill up with orange barrels as road construction projects get underway. With those projects come highway workers, some of whom are killed or injured each year due to unsafe drivers. James Griesbach, Marathon County Highway Commissioner, will discuss the importance of driving safe in work zones, as well as the experiences and concerns of highway workers.
