February 12
Intoxicated man says no to PBT
A Marshfield woman reported that sometime between 2:08 p.m. and 2:27 p.m., a 30-year-old man was intoxicated, violating his probation rules. The man appeared intoxicated as reported and refused to provide a preliminary breath test (PBT) sample. Probation was contacted and a probation hold was placed on the man. The man was taken into custody and transported for medical clearance. While in the emergency room, he caused a disturbance, resulting in a disorderly conduct citation. The man was later taken to the Wood County Jail.
February 14
Marshfield man reports hit and run
A 55-year-old Marshfield man reported that at approximately 7 a.m. someone struck his vehicle while it was parked in the main parking lot in front of the Marshfield Clinic. The man’s vehicle had damage to the front bumper on the passenger side of the vehicle. He had no suspects and no surveillance video was available. Photographs were taken, with no further action.
February 15
License plate stolen from Marshfield woman’s vehicle
A 27-year-old Marshfield woman reported that sometime between 7:50 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. on Feb. 14, her rear vehicle license plate was stolen. She stated that she recalled seeing the plate on her vehicle before she left for work, but noticed it was missing when she was done with work. She doesn’t believe that it fell off, because all of the screws were missing. She was parked in the employee section of parking lot C at Marshfield Clinic that day. The other license plate from her vehicle was removed and the plates were entered as stolen. There are no suspects at this time.
Police perform high-risk stop on DOC warrant
At 6:34 p.m., a 54-year-old Stanley man was stopped, knowing that he had a Department of Corrections (DOC) warrant. The man was also the subject of another agency’s investigation into recent homicidal and suicidal statements, with indications that he may be armed and seeking confrontation. Marshfield Police and the Wood County Sheriff’s Department conducted a high risk stop and took the man into custody without incident. The man was taken to the Wood County Jail, with several charges being requested.
February 16
Second license plate stolen
A 62-year-old Marshfield man reported that sometime between Feb. 14-16, his front license plate was removed from his vehicle. The man said that he noticed that it was missing while parked in a Marshfield Clinic parking lot, but was not sure when it was taken. Officers took the remaining license plate and listed the front plate as stolen.
Damaged caused in Marshfield apartment
A Marshfield apartment unit manager reported that a large amount of damage had been caused in an apartment unit. The man stated that the kitchen sink was broke, spraying water for several days. The tenant was contacted, who stated that he moved out on Jan. 31 and denied any involvement.
Stratford woman cited for hit and run
At 4:20 p.m., a 56-year-old Hewitt woman reported that a vehicle struck her vehicle while parked in a Marshfield department store lot. Another woman witnessed the incident and was able to give the vehicle license plate number. Contact was made with the vehicle owner, a 77-year-old Stratford woman. A citation was issued for hit and run.
February 17
Abbotsford man causes disturbance in waiting room
At 9:59 a.m., staff at a Marshfield medical institution requested officer presence in the waiting room for a man who was pacing around and making people uncomfortable. While in route, officers learned that the man was a 50-year-old Abbotsford man who was involved in a domestic incident in Clark County. The man was taken into custody and turned over to Clark County deputies.
